Future Plan Scholarship

This scholarship is for students who will be starting tertiary education in the year of application at a local tertiary institution. The scholarship has a maximum 4-year tenure and is awarded to 3 students. Each scholarship has a ceiling of four hundred and fifty thousand ($450,000.00) dollars, which is awarded each year. All applicants must have an active VMBS account.

Required documents

A letter of recommendation from the candidate’s school certifying that the candidate is a student of that school and stating the grades or copy of last two (2) end of year reports.
Letter of acceptance from the institution where the candidate is expected to pursue further studies.
Certified copy of the CSEC and/or GCE O’ Level/ CAPE examinations results.

All documents to be uploaded must be in JPEG, PNG or PDF format and have a maximum file size of 2MB.

Governing Regulations

Each candidate must:

Maintain an active VMBS savings account.

Have sat the CXC and/or GCE O’Level/ CAPE examinations in the given school year and have been accepted in a tertiary institution.

Attend an interview, (if the Foundation requests).

Not be a recipient of any other Scholarships for the given year.

Be a Jamaican who attended school in Jamaica for at least the five
years proceeding the year of application.

Applicants who have maintained an exemplary academic record and also play an active role in the development of his/her school community will have a significant advantage.

There will be three (3) awardees selected by the Scholarship Selection Committee. Scholarships are awarded for the duration of the course, or for a maximum of four (4) years, whichever is shorter, with a ceiling of JMD $450,000 being awarded each year.
